Your Real Estate Partner in Buenos Aires

Independent

George Gibbons was a fine gentleman, who worked as a "buyer's broker" for English speaking people who wanted to rent or buy an apartment, house or office in Argentina.

He passed away in May 2005, but his spirit of total service is carried on by his office. The properties shown here are a sample (but far from an entire listing) of the rentals and resales available.

The turnover in Buenos Aires is rapid, so if you see something you like, or if you have specific requirements, please call toll-free 877-354-0809 or e-mail.

We can help you with all the details of buying a property here and specialize in finding exactly what the potential buyer wants in the minimum number of days. We have many real estate contacts in other cities in Argentina; Mendoza, Bariloche, etc., so we can help you locate the property of your dreams.

If you rent a property from us, it includes a free Your Friend In Card. It's like having a personal concierge in your apartment building.

Shop at Home

There is a new service that searches through the newspaper and ranks alll of the listings by price. The list is then translated into English and emailed to your address.

The site is www.listings-argentina.com. If you purchase a property through me, I will refund your costs.

Purchase Process

Before you can close the purchase of a property, you need a CID number. This is an indentification number for registration of the property. It is not the equivalent of a Social Security card, and does not make you liable for Argentine income taxes. Taxation comes with a DNI number, which only comes with a residency permit or visa that you apply for.

There is no title insurance involved with each transaction. Instead Argentina uses a notary system, whereby an "escribano" (who is basically a lawyer trained in title searches) certifies to the validity of the title and absence of liens.
